Hello!! And happy Sunday! In case you don’t live in Arizona or haven’t seen the millions snapchats/insta-stories from someone who lives in Arizona, summer is here. And IT IS HOT! Like 117 degrees hot…117 three days in a row hot…as in planes cannot land or take off from the Phoenix airport HOT. So yes, my days lately have consisted of staying inside, keeping cool with the AC, eating popsicles and more importantly drinking rosé. I’ve been on a solid streak lately, I’m sure I’ll get through every bottle of rosé there is out there by the end of summer (no shame here). But the bright side is, I can give some pretty great recommendations, maybe I need to change my weekly updates to be called “Wine Wednesdays”…
Life Rosé Lately ☼
-I officially tried my first frosé (frozen rosé) and it is #LifeGoals. If you do one thing this summer, it should be to try frosé. If you can’t find it at a local happy hour then make your own! Try this frosé recipe I found (food network watch out!).
-So I finally got to try the most instagrammable wine, Summer Water (aka featured in the photo above), because yes…I did it for the insta (obvi.) But I have to admit, aside from the cute bottle and clever name, I wasn’t impressed by the taste. Of course, it’s rosé and it was delicious but for $17 (gasp.) I would’ve expected something a little more magical.
-On another note, that canned rosé I mentioned in last week’s Sunkissed Sunday IS WORTH IT and DELICIOUS and since so many of you were asking, I found it at Trader Joes but I believe it’s also at Safeway. I’m sure a specialty liquor store (like Total Wine) will have some too.
-BIG NEWS: Rosé officially comes in a box now (you’re welcome). I’ve seen Black Box and Bota Box come out with a rosé and what is better than boxed wine?! Rosé boxed wine, that’s what! And yes, I’ve given the Bota Box a trial run and I give it two thumbs up!
☼ Beauty Buys ☼
-Have you heard about the newest trend in makeup sponges?! Move over beauty blender, silicon makeup blenders are here and they are AMAZING! I found one at Tj Maxx for $5 just so I could try it out and let me tell you, the application is flawless and I use far less makeup! Here’s a two pack I found for $5 that you NEED to try, because these are a game changer!
-Summer sandals and walking around barefoot can do a number on your feet especially when it comes to the calluses on your heels. I’ve been using this heel/foot creme and it keep my heels from looking dry or cracking, the moisture stays locked it (pretty impressive and SO worth the $8!)
-I know I may be late to the game, but I’m all about texturizing hair spray. It’s perfect for getting my curls to stay, especially after I’ve washed my hair. I really love this expensive option but I found a different brand at Tj Maxx for $6 that was a great one to start with (Tj Maxx for the win again).
☼ Latest Purchases ☼
-In case you didn’t know, Whole Food has macaroons (also picture above) and they are amazing. They’re in the bakery section right next to the mochi (still on my list to try).
-So even though I’m trying to save myself for the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, I couldn’t help but get these heeled sandals because 1) They were on sale and 2) So comfy! There’s still some sizes left in tan and black, grab a pair!
-Along with those sandals, I picked up these $12 sunnies in the “brown tort” style and they are my new fav!!!!
☼ Coming Up ☼
– So excited for the weekend of the 4th because I’ll be staying at the Hotel Palomar in Downtown Phoenix with some fellow blogger babes, which means there will be plenty of insta-stories and photos coming soon!
-I’m going to start a new summer dress series where I’ll be sharing my favorite dress trends and linking the cutest options for you (sound good?) Because let’s face it, a girl can never have too many dresses for the summer.
-Get ready because I’m finally going to be reviewing a skincare line I have been using for a WHOLE YEAR (can you say tried and true?) So make sure you follow me on Instagram or Facebook so you don’t miss this post!
Thanks for reading! Until next week, stay cool and enjoy that glass of rosé – CHEERS!
